On November 23, 2018 at the International Forum INNOVATION MARKET in the framework of the section "Ecology – Green Mind" a presentation of a new informational and educational project for students "Lessons on Sustainable Consumption" was held with the participation of initiators, authors and project partners, representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and other interested organizations.

The presentation was attended by the heads, teachers, lecturers and methodologists of general education institutions, leaders of hobby groups, representatives of public organizations from all regions of Ukraine.

The implementation of the project "Lessons on Sustainable Consumption" aims to foster the development of such competencies as:

• Innovation;
• Environment;
• Information and communication;
• Healthy lifestyle.

It involves the use of informational and methodological materials.

The materials of the project:

• Are adapted for formal and informal education in general education institutions (general secondary education) and out-of-school education, in particular for the cross-cutting content line "Environmental Safety and Sustainable Development";
• Will be included in the list of educational programs, textbooks and teaching aids recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
• Are placed in the free access on the educational portal of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Internet resources of the project partners.

The information materials for schoolchildren cover all life situations associated with the consumption (use) of various goods, services, use of energy, water and other resources:

• In school (at work);
• In town;
• At home;
• On vacation;
• In store;
• Outdoors.

The considered environmental aspects are related to the consumption (use) of the following:

• Food and beverages;
• Household chemicals;
• Products of hygiene ;
• Textiles, clothing, footwear and accessories;
• Stationery;
• Toys;
• Materials for repair and decoration;
• Computer and other equipment;
• Furniture;
• Vehicles.

They contain interesting information, practical tasks, fairy tales, games with the use of modern design, author's drawings, infographics, photos and other illustrative material.

Methodological materials for teachers and educators contain recommendations, lesson plans, tests, videos and other materials to be used in the educational process.
